L-G is a downhand wire. LP-G Hardfacing Mig Wire is better suited for positional welding

Key Features

• Used for hardfacing components subject to metal-to-metal wear and high abrasion
• The weld metal deposit is a medium alloy Martensitic steel and has good abrasion and impact resistance.  The deposit is just machinable with special tools.
• Especially applicable in 2-3 layers for wear resistance
• Pre-heat should be applied to prevent relief checking
• L-G - Gas Shielded Wire. Shielding Gas CO2/Argon
• Also available as L-O - Open Arc Self Shielded (Gasless) Wire, or L-S - Submerged Arc Wire on request
• Chemical composition:  C - 0.50%, Mn - 2.5%, Si - 0.8%, Cr - 8.0%, Mo - 0.6%, V - 0.3%
