Applications
S-309L.16 Electrodes are used as an RSP Electrode. For welding dissimilar materials, or building up of stainless steel on carbon steel or low alloy steel.
S-309L.16 Is also an excellent underlay for hard-facing wires/rods.

Characteristics of Usage
S-309L.16 is a lime-titania type electrode with excellent usability.
The weld metal contains extra low carbon and high delta ferrite which provides good corrosion and heat resistance.

Notes on Usage
Used on AC or DC+ Current.
Dry the electrodes at 350 C (662 F) for 60 minutes before use.
In case of clad steel welding, pay attention to the degree of penetration into the base plate.
Keep the arc as short as possible.
